A Boston police officer was reportedly left isolated within a hostile crowd, facing a barrage of hurled drinks and debris, as a suspect on a dirt bike managed to break free and flee. This account comes from both local police and the city's largest police union.
The chaotic confrontation, captured on video, initially gained widespread attention after being posted on TikTok by user @noticiaboston. The incident unfolded around 9:24 p.m. on June 28, near the intersection of Old Road and Ellington Street. Authorities reported that an estimated 100 to 150 individuals had gathered in the vicinity, creating a noisy environment with loud music, open drinking, lowriders, mopeds, and dirt bikes.
Footage widely shared on social media depicted the officer, identified as Kennedy, surrounded by individuals who appeared to be throwing liquids, bottles, and various other objects. Throughout the struggle with the rider, the distinct sound of glass shattering on the pavement could be heard.
